NATO Phonetic Alphabet Chart: Alfa to Zulu with Pronunciation

The NATO phonetic alphabet, properly the ICAO radiotelephony spelling alphabet, gives every letter a code word that is hard to mishear over a radio or a bad phone line. Here are all twenty-six code words and the ten numbers, with the pronunciation and the stressed syllables in capitals.

Alfa and Juliett are the official spellings, chosen so that speakers of other languages say them correctly.

Pronunciations follow ICAO Annex 10; in practice Charlie is also said SHAR-lee and Uniform OO-nee-form.
